Lore

Lore

Everything on this page is invented. It is not a timeline of the internet, not a claim about real organizations, and not a substitute for the Wiki.

On #FFFFFF

In the old jokes, #FFFFFF is not a color so much as a full-time job: six characters holding back the void with the enthusiasm of a fluorescent tube in an empty office. Instant White did not invent it. Instant White merely answers the phone when it rings.

The First Photon

Lore holds that the First Photon was not bright so much as decisive. It arrived, occupied a pixel, and refused to apologize. All subsequent white screens are said to be footnotes. (Again: fiction. Photons do not write footnotes.)

The Council of Brightness

A purely imaginary committee that meets whenever someone opens a solid white field for “just a second” and is still there twenty minutes later. Minutes are not published. Attendance is optional. Hats are discouraged because they cast shadows.

The Quiet Tab

Legend speaks of a browser tab that contained only light and the sound of a laptop fan reconsidering its life choices. Scholars of nonsense agree this story improves nothing and continues to be retold.
